Labour leaders jailed in Ecuador
The supposedly left-wing, socially progressive government of Ecuador has been attacking unions in the country. It has jailed two unionists: Carlos Figueroa, the former leader of an organization affiliated to Public Services International, and Mary Zamora the former head of the National Union of Teachers an affiliate of International Education.
