force Ford government
to back down and bargain

Laura Walton Mark Hancock In an unprecedented show-down CUPE education workers and their supporters from many other unions have forced the Doug Ford government to revoke its dictatorial use of the constitutional not withstanding clause, withdraw Bill 28 and return to the bargaining table. At a media conference held a couple of hours after the government’s announcement the National President of CUPE, Mark Hancock and Laura Walton, the president of CUPE’s Ontario School Board Council of Unions, spoke about the government’s move and the way ahead.
